Silkendipity is a style blog focusing on the belief that personal style is a window to the soul. Whether you choose to express yourself through fashion, art, or anything else under the sun, capturing your unique perspective at any given moment is a beautiful thing worth celebrating. They say it's the little things in life that matter, which is why we strive to surround ourselves with whimsical pieces that reflect our personality. Taking the time to inspire, imagine, and create allows you to see the beauty in everyday aspects that may otherwise be overlooked... which makes each and every day an event worth looking forward to.
Serendipity means a "happy accident" or "pleasant surprise". It's typically used to refer to the accident of finding something good or useful while not specifically searching for it. This type of "happy accident" happened for me when I stumbled upon the ancient art of silk painting. I have always loved expressing myself through art and fashion and finally found a way to combine both of my passions into one....thus Silkendipity was born!
My twin sister, Chelsea, and I created this blog to not only update you on my latest silk creations, but to also show off our favorite crafts, style, decor, recipes and anything else that speaks to us. Ever since we can remember our mom has crafted away at anything you can think of from birthday parties to Halloween costumes and everything in between. Somewhere along the way we caught her love for DIY-ing and can't wait to share it with you!
